We start by reviewing user accounts, administrative privileges, updates, endpoint protection and network access. Installed software and correctly configured, regularly checked protection are different things. Priorities depend on which data and systems matter most to your business.
A defined scope for security support
An example scenario is a business where several employees share an administrator password. Improvements may include individual accounts, MFA and restricted privileges. The agreement should identify the settings to change, how changes are checked and who reports suspicious events. Specialist security work is agreed separately.
